Capturing light and the daydream of the places I want to go.
What’s inspiring me lately?
Lately, I’ve found myself drawn to unexpected sources of inspiration. One of them is a growing collection of vintage paint-by-number paintings. I love the nostalgia in these pieces—their earnest simplicity and muted palettes—and I’ve been re-working and re-painting them in my own style. There’s something deeply satisfying about giving them new life while still letting their history show through.
I’ve also uncovered a stack of vintage canvases that feel ready for transformation. They’re practically calling out for a new season of florals—wild, layered, and full of energy. As I move into the fall, I’m excited to let these canvases bloom again, turning what was once forgotten into something vibrant and alive.
And as always, the movement of trees and the rhythms of nature continue to ground my work. I’ve been experimenting with a fresh use of white on my canvases, letting it carve out light and space in new ways. This exploration will carry me through the fall and winter—an ongoing conversation between stillness and motion, memory and renewal.
